Who we are.
Established in 2019 we are one of the Toronto food banks operating in the Scarborough area.
Although not as large as food banks such as the Daily Bread food Bank and the Second Harvest food bank, we still serve over 100 people every week and are super busy. We look to expand our services and continue to deliver quality food items for those in need. We are grateful for any food donations to our food bank so we can help families and individuals in our local communities.
SIGN-UP FOR FOOD BANK
All new clients registering for the food bank, must schedule an
appointment by either calling the office at 416-792-6702, or via email
at info@thesecondchancefoundation
time of registration, with one clearly showing your place of residence;
this piece can be in the form of a utility or phone bill in your name,
clearly indicating your address. Although the food bank is open to all
residence of Scarborough, we do not, and will not turn anyone away who
does not reside in Scarborough. Verification of addresses is needed for
validation/audit purposes for our suppliers/distributors and other
Government agencies.
Registration can be done either in the Resource Centre Office, located
at 3171 Eglinton Avenue East, from Monday to Thursday, between the hours
of 10 am to 4 pm, or in the Food Bank room on any Friday (the day of our
food bank), between the hours of 10 AM to 12 PM. No Registration will
be done after 12 PM on Fridays, in the Food Bank Room.
